The human and economci resources in the manufacturing of printed circuit borads (PCB) for the electronic industry is optimised using diverse optimisation approaches: discrete event simulation (DES) and quick response manufacturing (QRM). The results obtained with the two approaches are compared in terms of performance, ease of use and processing time.

Abstract

The human and economci resources in the manufacturing of printed circuit borads (PCB) for the electronic industry is optimised using diverse optimisation approaches: discrete event simulation (DES) and quick response manufacturing (QRM). The results obtained with the two approaches are compared in terms of performance, ease of use and processing time.
