Aim of our research was to study the effect of increased serum levels of thyroid hormone (triiodothyronine, T3) on rat testis spermatogenesis, a system well characterized as it regards morpho-functional and biochemical features, including the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation process, a post-translational modification of proteins catalysed by poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase (PARP).
